Duplicating lessons and courses, copying content between projects and organizations

Duplicating your lessons is an excellent way to reuse existing training materials, build standardized templates, or create slightly modified versions of a module for different audiences. Whether you are working directly in the editor or managing files from your dashboard, making copies takes just a few clicks.

You can also move your lessons and courses to share content across different projects or organizations.

Duplicating from the Dashboard

If you want to quickly copy a lesson without opening it first, you can do so directly from your main dashboard or project folders.

  1. Locate the lesson card you want to copy on your dashboard.

  2. Click the ellipsis (...) icon in the bottom right corner of the lesson card.

  3. Select Duplicate from the dropdown menu.

The system will instantly create a copy and redirect you into the new lesson. The new lesson will feature the exact same content, settings, and translated languages, with " (copy)" added to the original title.

Duplicating from the Editor

You can also duplicate a lesson while you are actively editing it. This is helpful if you want to snapshot your current progress before making major structural changes.

  1. Inside the lesson editor, click the ellipsis (...) button in the top toolbar.

  2. Select Duplicate Lesson from the menu.

  3. You will be automatically redirected to your newly copied lesson.

All of your text tiles, question tiles, themes, and uploaded thumbnails are carried over automatically.

Duplicating Lessons Inside a Course

If you are currently editing a lesson that belongs to a broader course, clicking Duplicate Lesson works slightly differently.

Instead of creating a standalone lesson, the copy is generated directly inside that same course. This is a highly efficient way to create a series of identically structured modules without having to rebuild your layouts from scratch.

Moving Content Between Projects and Organizations

Sometimes you need to transfer a lesson or an entire course to a different department or workspace. You can do this using the Move feature.

  1. On your dashboard, click the ellipsis (...) icon on any lesson or course card.

  2. Select Move To from the dropdown menu.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, select the specific project or organization where you want to send the content.

Practical Tip: The "Move To" action transfers the original file. If you want to keep a version for yourself while sharing a copy with another organization, simply duplicate the lesson first. Then, use the "Move To" feature on the newly created copy.
