Duplicate and move content
Duplicate a lesson or course when you want an independent starting point with the same content. Move content when you want to reorganize the original.
Duplicate a lesson from the dashboard
Find the lesson card.
Open its More options menu.
Select Duplicate.
Mindsmith creates a new lesson with "(copy)" in its title and opens the copy. The duplicate includes the lesson content, settings, linked language versions, and resources needed by the copy.
Duplicate from the lesson editor
Open the editor’s More options menu.
Select Duplicate Lesson.
If the lesson is a course item, the duplicate is added to the same course beside the original. Otherwise, Mindsmith creates a standalone copy in the same workspace location.
Duplicate a course
Open the course card’s or course editor’s More options menu and select Duplicate Course. The new course includes copies of its lessons in the same order, along with the course settings, language versions, and course resources.
Because the new lesson or course is independent, later edits to the copy do not change the original.
Move lessons, courses, and folders
From a dashboard card, open More options and select Move To. Choose an available project, folder, course, or workspace destination shown for that content type.
Moving transfers the original; it does not leave a copy behind. Duplicate first when you need the content to remain in both locations.
Mindsmith checks whether the selected destination can accept the item. Some destinations are unavailable because of access, organization, course, or folder-depth rules.
