Trash & Recovery

Moving content to trash, recovering deleted lessons and courses, permanently deleting content

Written by Patrick Elzinga

Restore or permanently delete content

Deleting a lesson or course moves it to the workspace Trash instead of erasing it immediately. Trash supports both individual and bulk restore or permanent deletion.

Open Trash

Select Trash in the dashboard sidebar. Each card identifies the deleted lesson or course and, when applicable, its original project.

Restore one item

  1. Open the card’s More options menu.

  2. Select Restore.

Mindsmith restores the item to its previous project when that relationship still exists. After the restore, select View in the confirmation message to open it.

Restore several items

  1. Hover over a card and select its checkbox.

  2. Select any other lessons or courses to restore.

  3. Select Restore in the bulk action bar.

Permanently delete one item

  1. Open the card’s More options menu.

  2. Select Delete.

  3. Confirm the permanent deletion.

Permanently delete several items

Select the item checkboxes, choose Delete in the bulk action bar, and confirm.

Permanent deletion cannot be undone. Verify the selection before confirming, especially when deleting a course that contains lessons.
