Comments let you collaborate on lessons and courses without passing drafts back and forth. You can leave feedback at the page, lesson, or course level, anchor feedback to text, mention collaborators, and attach files.
Accessing the comments panel
To view or add comments, click the Comments button in the top right toolbar of the editor or viewer. This opens the comments panel on your screen.
If you share a review link with someone outside your organization, they can still leave comments without a Mindsmith account. They are prompted for an email address before commenting.
Adding and replying to comments
You can leave general feedback on a lesson or point out exact pieces of content that need updates.
Adding a new comment
Open the comments panel.
Select your desired view scope at the top of the panel (Page, Lesson, or Course).
Type your feedback in the text box at the bottom of the panel.
Click the Send button (upward arrow icon) to post your comment.
Commenting on specific text
You can anchor your feedback to specific text inside a text tile to make your reviews highly precise.
Highlight the text you want to review inside a text tile.
Open the comments panel. You will see a blue banner indicating the exact text you are commenting on.
Type your feedback and submit.

Tagging collaborators
You can notify specific team members by typing @ followed by their name or email address in the comment box. This will tag organization members or previous commenters in the thread, ensuring they see your feedback.
Adding file attachments
You can attach reference files or images to a comment when written feedback is not enough.
Click the Upload icon (square with an upward arrow) below the comment text box.
Select the file from your computer.
Wait for the upload to finish, then post your comment.
Tip: The maximum file size for attachments is 100MB.
Managing your comments
Editing and deleting
You can update or remove your own comments. Click the More options (three dots) icon on your comment, then select Edit or Delete.
You can edit or delete comments you created.
Resolving comments
Once a piece of feedback has been addressed, you can resolve the comment to clear it from the active list. Click the Checkmark icon on the comment to mark it as resolved. The icon will turn green to confirm it is resolved.
Note: You must be signed in to your Mindsmith account to resolve or unresolve comments. Guest reviewers cannot resolve comments.
Navigating and filtering feedback
Navigating to tiles
Click a comment in the panel to scroll to the tile or page it refers to.
If a comment refers to a tile that has been removed, you won't lose the feedback. It will safely appear under a special "From Deleted Pages" section in the comments panel.
Filtering comments
Use the comments panel filters to narrow a long list of feedback.
Click the Filter icon (funnel) at the top of the comments panel.
Toggle Show resolved to view previously completed feedback.
Toggle Current language only if you are working in a translated course and only want to see feedback for the language you are currently viewing.
