Mindsmith can generate content in supported languages, create independent translated copies, or keep several language versions linked to one lesson or course.

The language menus currently include 78 languages:

Arabic, Dari, Hebrew, Pashto, Persian, and Urdu use right-to-left learner layouts.

If the language you need is not listed, contact Mindsmith Support to request it.

Open Settings → Preview in a lesson or course and choose Lesson Language. This sets the main language used by the learner interface and by language-aware generation and narration tools.

Set the language before asking the Mindsmith Agent to build new content when you want the first version authored directly in that language.

Use Translate Lesson or Translate Course from the content’s More options menu. A lesson also offers Translate beside Lesson Language in Settings → Preview.

Choose a target language and confirm. Mindsmith creates a separate lesson or course that can be edited, shared, moved, or deleted independently. Translation uses organization credits when that organization is billed by credits.

Independent copies are useful when versions will differ in structure, policy, images, or assessment content.

Linked translation management is an Enterprise feature.

For a course, manage linked languages from the course editor. When editing a lesson that belongs to a translated course, return to the course home to manage the course translations.

The translation manager shows the main language and each linked version. From there you can:

Regeneration replaces translated content with a new translation of the current source, so review intentional edits in the target version first.

Linked lessons and courses can choose a learner’s initial language from the browser language. Learners can use the language control to switch among available versions without losing their progress.

Linked lesson translations support XLIFF 1.2 for work with a translation team or external translation system.

XLIFF import/export is available for lessons, not course translation management. Keep the XLIFF structure and identifiers intact so Mindsmith can map translated text back to the correct tiles.

Enterprise organizations can create translation glossaries under Settings → Glossary. Each glossary belongs to a supported source-language and target-language pair.

To enter terms manually, put the source term and preferred target term on the same line separated by a tab. Put each pair on its own line. You can also import CSV files whose language columns are mapped during import.

Glossaries guide new AI translations for that language pair. They do not retroactively rewrite existing translations; regenerate or edit those versions when terminology changes.

The narration glossary is separate. Use Settings → Narration Glossary to control how words are pronounced rather than how they are translated.
