Pages and page templates

Pages organize a lesson into the steps learners move through. Each page can contain one tile, several tiles in rows and columns, or a full-width activity.

Add a page

Select New Page in the lesson filmstrip. The current page picker includes:

  • Blank Page for a layout you want to build tile by tile

  • Section Divider for a chapter or section opening

  • Title Page for a strong opening or transition

  • Text and Image for a ready-made two-column layout

  • Any page templates saved by your organization

The new page is inserted after the page currently selected in the filmstrip. Once it is in the lesson, use Add Tile to choose the content, question, media, or interactive tiles it needs.

Arrange pages

Drag page thumbnails in the filmstrip to reorder them. Open a page's More options menu to:

  • Copy the page, then paste it into the same or another lesson

  • Duplicate it in the current lesson

  • Delete it

  • Turn it into a section divider, or remove its section-divider status

  • Save it as a page template

Copy and paste are useful when you need a one-off reuse. A saved page template is better for a layout your organization will use repeatedly.

Section dividers

A section divider is still an editable page, but it also starts a new section in the learner navigation. Use it for a module title, topic transition, or other meaningful break. Avoid adding dividers only for visual spacing; a divider changes the lesson's navigation structure.

Save and reuse a page template

  1. Open the page's More options menu.

  2. Select Create Page Template.

  3. Give the template a recognizable name and create it.

The template then appears under Saved Page Templates whenever an author opens New Page in that organization. Selecting it inserts a new copy, including the page layout and its tiles. Deleting a saved template does not remove pages that were already created from it.

For details about individual tile types, see the guides for text tiles, question tiles, media tiles, and interactive tiles.

Configure grading and completion in Lesson and Course Settings, then review learner results in Analytics and Reporting.
